Engage your mind regularly in activities like puzzles or brain teasers to improve your memory. Not only are these activities fun, but they also improve attention and concentration while keeping your memory skills sharp. Brain games train your mind to work more efficiently and help form different thought patterns, enabling better retention of memories.

Knowing what type of learner you are will enable you to reinforce your memory! If you know that you are a visual learner, for example, then keep a small notebook with you at all times to write down the information you need to remember, or if you are an auditory learner, use a small recorder. These small aids will be a big help when you need to call on your memory later!

Abstract:
I will be asking how, as Designers, can we move beyond the need to
design a screen into everything and embrace physical  interactions? Now computing is becoming ever more ubiquitous & entwined into our lives, surely an acceptable solution isn’t to cover our world in icons & screens. There is an emerging trend of beautifully crafted products that are becoming the face of complex systems, yet they have no screen at all and still provide a rich suite of interactions that are easily accessible by the user. What tools are available to us as Interaction Designer’s to give us the courage to step away from our wireframes & start designing beautiful, engaging physical interactions?

Bio:
Steve has a BA in Industrial Design from Brunel, an MSc in Interaction Design from Middlesex University, and leads the interaction team at The Alloy. He is a designer who strives to create powerful, meaningful interactions between people, products and services through creative problem solving and user-centred methodology. With over 9 years’ experience in the field he has worked with a variety of clients including the NHS, Honeywell, Philips, Samsung & BT.

He firmly believes in innovation through experimental design research with a ‘hands on’ approach at all times, and has a passion for technology, innovation and culture, trying to balance them all in his work. He also loves to travel & cook… although not at the same time.

As concerns about health and nutrition continue to rise, so has the custom of making fresh-squeezed juice at home. Juicing offers a convenient and healthy way to lose weight, stay fit and avoid artificial additives and preservatives. Homemade juices can include both fruits and vegetables. From apples and oranges to tomatoes and celery, the following article provides you with all the information you need on juicers, juicing and juices.

Reuse the pulp from your vegetable juices to cut down on waste. You can use vegetable pulp as a base for soups and stews, to add flavor and texture. In addition, the pulp can be used as the base for a compost, which you can then use in your garden to grow even more fresh vegetables.

When you start making your own juices, try adding a vegetable in the mix that you tend to avoid. Vegetables that you do not like alone might end up tasting great to you when mixed in a juice with other flavors. This is a great way to get nutrients you otherwise wouldn’t.

When making carrot juice, make absolutely sure to get fresh, healthy carrots. Signs of old carrots are rubberiness, limpness, wilted tops, and excessive cracking. Look for carrots that have a full color, are firm to the touch, and have green, leafy tops. These carrots will produce the freshest, sweetest juice.

Research the nutrients you need to be taking in to choose which vegetables, fruit, and plants you should be consuming. You don’t have to have every single one every single day, instead spread your nutrient consumption out over a week. For example, if you need beta carotene you can have carrots every other day.

You don’t have to spend a fortune on fresh juicing produce as long as you shop in season. Berries are great in the summer, but will cost you an arm and a leg to buy in the winter, so skip them until the prices drop again. Apples last all winter, so feel free to buy a few bushels and keep them in the garage.

Juicing is the best-tasting way to make sure you’re getting all the daily servings of fruit and vegetables that you need. You can mix them together in a combination that will provide any nutrient you need, and it will taste good no matter what you include. The whole family can sip and enjoy!

Do not overuse vegetables that are high in oxalic acid. This acid is a contributor to kidney stones and can impact osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Vegetables such as rhubarb, char, beets and spinach contain lots of oxalic acid. Use them in moderation and avoid mixing with broccoli or other high calcium food to maintain prevention.

When juicing for your health you should drink the juice as soon as it’s made. Refrigerating the juice or leaving it on the counter will allow it to lose nutrients as they break down within the juice. Drinking it immediately will be just like eating all those fresh ingredients whole!

Buying a masticating juicer will allow the juice you make to have it’s nutrients break down much slower, meaning you can take your time in drinking it or even store it for a while. It will also leave as much of the natural nutrients intact as possible, giving you the most healthy juice to drink.

If you’re worried about the noise associated with a juicer, pick up a masticating version. They’re the quietest juicers on the market while also providing the most nutritious and healthy juices possible. They also come with many accessories for other food processing, so they can be cost effective as well.

When it comes to juicing, one thing that you want to keep in mind is the fact that despite the time and money that you are losing by making your own juice, you will find that it most likely tastes better than store bought juice. This is important to give you a good reason to keep on juicing and influence others to do the same.

If you can’t find organic produce to use in your juices, make sure that you peel your fruits and vegetables before juicing them. Most of the pesticides on conventionally grown produce is on the skin, and washing isn’t enough to remove all of the residue. Peeling will eliminate the bulk of these contaminants from your food.

Want to know another way that juicing will save you money? You’ll be able to skip the expensive anti-wrinkle and deep moisturizing skin treatments you’ve been buying at the department store! Juicing fruits and vegetables leads to healthier, better looking skin as they are full of moisturizing compounds. One great way to get kids involved in juicing is by having them pick the fruits and vegetables you use! You can take them to a farm to choose their own apples, or to a farmer’s market. Give them each and let them pick whatever they’d like to try. Have them choose one or two ingredients and then you can supply the base, like leafy green vegetables. Don’t ever say they chose the wrong thing, just use less of it so no one will notice if it’s not tasty.

The fact is that small changes often turn into surprising and delightful rewards that last, and this article is going to outline a few simple changes you can make.

One of the best ways to ensure that you meet all of your body’s nutritional needs while avoiding overeating, is to sit down at a table for your meals. This allows you to focus on what you’re eating and how it tastes, so that you’ll feel more satisfied and get full quicker.

Eat your vegetables and your children will too. Children like to be like mom and dad which means that eating vegetables with meals, and more importantly as snacks, sets a standard with your children. They will learn to love them once they start eating them since you are eating them as well.

Allow your children to help you prepare meals. The more involved children are in the process, the more likely they are to eat the meal. This is especially true for things they may not want to try, such as vegetables. It may not make them like broccoli, but it might make them more likely to taste it.

Add some avocados into your daily nutritional diet. They are rich in many nutrients. Avocados contain monounsaturated fats that help reduce the level of cholesterol. Part of getting good nutrition is eating your fruits and vegetables. You should be eating around 5 servings every day. Fruits and vegetables are loaded with fiber, vitamins and beneficial antioxidants. Eating like this will fill you up fast, and they are low in calories, so if you are watching your weight, they are also the perfect food.

Rice is one of the most convenient foods that you can have, as it is very easy to make and goes with a wide variety of foods. Instead of white rice, choose brown rice, as it is healthier for your body and contains a lower level of fat content upon consumption.

Slap some peaches, apples, pineapple, banana and other fruit on the grill and get ready for a real treat! Fresh fruit makes a wonderful addition to a backyard cookout. You don’t have to eat it raw though! Cook it right alongside the lean hamburger and turkey franks!

They include items of protective clothing (gloves, helmets, and boots), a spacesuit worn on the Moon, and examples of the types of tools astronauts used on the lunar surface. The actual tools used on the Moon were left behind.

In spite of what the caption says, all of the objects here seem to be lunar equipment used by James Irwin on Apollo 15 in July, 1971.
